Pleasant Ridge (Jan 11, 1912)

The new officers for Sunday school this year are as follows: superintendent Mr. Dibble, ass’t supt. Mrs. Tom Cohnsell, treasurer Herbert Counsell, secretary Clarion Counsell, librarian Ella Raine and Aledra Brown.

We were misinformed last week.  The Drescher girls did not go back to Milwaukee but will stay here 2 weeks longer.

Mrs. Sarah Selves was taken very sick last Friday morning and is in bed yet, but it is hoped she will soon recover.  August Snyder and wife, Mrs. K. Brown and Elmer Selves and wife were all there Sunday.

Miss Gates re-opened school Monday after a 2 weeks’ vacation.

Ina and Mary Huckstead were the only ones from here who got to the lecture Thursday night.  They stayed in Neillsville until Saturday at their uncle, Lon’s.

Tom Huckstead went to Crandon Thursday for a visit with relatives.

Clarion Counsell went to Alma Center Saturday, returning Monday.

Jim Cammeron and wife of Ioura were here a few days visiting her sisters, Mesdames Wm. Swann, Wm. King and Chas. Hall.

Herbert Counsell is hauling baled hay from Shortville to Neillsville.

Geo. Howard and O.E. Counsell are breaking colts for spring work.

Kenneth and Geo. Randall spent Monday evening with Clifford Blackman.

Victor Counsell spent Friday with Eugene Short.
