Pleasant Ridge (Jan 11, 1912)
The new officers for Sunday school this
year are as follows: superintendent Mr. Dibble, ass’t supt.
Mrs. Tom Cohnsell, treasurer Herbert Counsell, secretary Clarion
Counsell, librarian Ella Raine and Aledra Brown.
We were misinformed last week. The
Drescher girls did not go back to Milwaukee but will stay here 2
weeks longer.
Mrs. Sarah Selves was taken very sick
last Friday morning and is in bed yet, but it is hoped she will
soon recover. August Snyder and wife, Mrs. K. Brown and Elmer
Selves and wife were all there Sunday.
Miss Gates re-opened school Monday after
a 2 weeks’ vacation.
Ina and Mary Huckstead were the only ones
from here who got to the lecture Thursday night. They stayed
in Neillsville until Saturday at their uncle,
Lon’s.
Tom Huckstead went to Crandon Thursday
for a visit with relatives.
Clarion Counsell went to Alma Center
Saturday, returning Monday.
Jim Cammeron and wife of Ioura were here
a few days visiting her sisters, Mesdames Wm. Swann, Wm. King and
Chas. Hall.
Herbert Counsell is hauling baled hay
from Shortville to Neillsville.
Geo. Howard and O.E. Counsell are
breaking colts for spring work.
Kenneth and Geo. Randall spent Monday
evening with Clifford Blackman.
Victor Counsell spent Friday with Eugene Short.
