Mund, Jesse Belle (5 Mar 1866 - 6 Mar
1912)
Jesse Belle Mund was born in Jefferson
county March 5th, 1866, and came to Clark county in
1872. March the 6th, 1912, Death overtook her at
her home in town of Weston. Mrs. Mund had been suffering for
the last five years with paralysis and rheumatism. Mrs. Mund
was a member of the Presbyterian church and she was a lovable
character and to know her was to be her friend. Like the
Psalmist she has said, "One thing have I desired of Thee, Lord,
that I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all
the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, to remain in
His temple." Of this venerable friend it can be truly said,
Heaven was in her before she was in Heaven. Could angels have
wished an ending more sweetly fitting to so lovely a life?
The sunshine in that beautiful home is dimmed, so close and tender
were the ties and so sorrowful will the missing be. Yet so
thankfull are the bereft ones that they have the assurance that
their mother had died as she had lived, a lover of the
Lord.
Those who survive to mourn the departure
of the good mother are the husband and three children.
Funeral services were held at the home on Friday afternoon at 2
o’clock, Rev. Wm. H. Nye officiating.
The family are deeply grateful for the many neighborly kindnesses extended to them in their sorrow, for the lovely floral tributes to "mother’s" memory and the beautiful music rendered by the choir at the last sad rites. W. H. N.
