Apfel, Josephine* (? - January 1957) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Legare (Josephine) Apfel, 60, were held January 8, from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. Virgil Holmes of the Methodist Church officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery. 
 

Two hymns, "In the Garden" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer," were sung by Mrs. Virgil Holmes accompanied by Mrs. Florence Counsell.  
 

Pallbearers were: Oscar Christopherson, Tony Hantke, Adolph Meyer, Edward Murphy, Ed Pollnow and Guy Schultz. 
 

Out of town relatives attending were: Mrs. Paul Hines, Woodstock, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Novak and son, and Mrs. C. E. Rouse, Stevens Point; Mrs. Steve Jaje, Mrs. Rudolph Morvak, Mr. an Mrs. George Wright, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Otis Gooch, Watertown; Mrs. Frank Redmond, and Mrs. O. L. Olson, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Elsie Cook, Footville; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Schultz, Hatfield; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Anger, Eau Clarie; Mrs. Ervin Hopfensperger and Sue, Granton.
