Lawrence, Harry (24 March 1886 - 17 January 1957)

Another one of our older citizens, Harry Lawrence, has died.  HE was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lawrence.  He was born March 24, 1886, and died January 17 at the age of 70.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Humbird January 19, the Rev. Arthur Riley officiating. The song service was given by Harold Losey, with Mrs. Edith Smith at the organ.  Pallbearers were: Raymond Stuve, Archie Kirby, Ervin Kelsh, Archie Fradenburg, Ed Shramek and Henry Lund.  Interment was in the Curtiss Cemetery in the family lot.

Mr. Lawrence spent his early boyhood on the farm in Garden Valley. The family then moved to Humbird, where he attended the public schools.  He is survived by a brother, Ross Lawrence of Eau Claire; besides some cousins.

Mr. and Mrs. Shaw, Fairchild, and representatives of the Northern States Power Company attended the services, as well as many friends from here and the surrounding locality.
