Michael Foth, 50, Spencer, died on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, with his family by his side, Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 6, ay Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer, and again on Thursday, Jan. 7, from 10 a.m., until service time at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Interment will be held at the West Spencer Cemetery following the service.

 

Michael Foth was born on July 14, 1959, in Wood County, to Armin and Emily (nee Roggenbauer) Foth. He graduated from Spencer High School, attended UW-Wood County and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from UW-Eau Claire. He was a certified public accountant and was currently a partner with Hawkins, Ash, Baptie and Company. On May 7, 1983, he married Angela Schulz; they later divorced. On Sept. 18. 2000, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Susan Miskanis.

 

He was a past member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Board, the town of Spencer Board and the Marshfield Optimist Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and taking day trips with his family. He was a proud member of the Whitetails and Eagles clubs. He especially enjoyed hunting and was an avid grill master, not afraid to stand outside and grill in the middle of winter. He will truly be missed.

 

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Emily; wife, Sue; daughters, Erica Foth and Breanna Foth, both of Marshfield; step children, Robert (Beki) Miskanis, Chippewa Falls, Sarah Miskanis, Fenwood, and Amanda Miskanis, Stratford; step-granddaughter, Sophie Miskanis; and he was proud to have a grandson on the way. He is further survived by a brother, Steven (Karen) Foth, Muskogee, Okla.; sisters, Susan (Dave) Bauer, Marshfield, and Kathy (Al) Weyer, Spencer; as well as many other family and friends.

 

Preceding him in death was his father, Armin Foth.

 

Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.
