Clyde, W. Nicholls, 88, Loyal, died on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A private family gathering was held in his honor. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Cl;yde W. Nicholls was born on Nov. 5, 1921, in Macon County, Ill., to Luther and Edythe Nicholls. He spent three years as a medic during World War ll in the European Theatre. He was a POW survivor. He farmed for 35 years in Illinois and Wisconsin. His greatest satisfaction in life was helping others.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; his children, Ray (Susan) Nicholls, Patricia Roberts, Dale (Marge) Nicholls, Dave (Dolores) Nicholls, and Joe (Geri) Nicholls; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Benton.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, and three sisters.
