Reber, Nancy (Marriage - 16 February
1957)
Miss Nancy Reber, daughter of Walter
Reber and Mrs. Ezra Poirier, and Curtis Gest, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Wm Gest of Watertown, were joined in marriage at Zion Church
Saturday, February 16. The couple was attended by her sister
and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Darol Lewis of Augusta.
The bride wore a gabardine navy suit,
with white hat and accessories. The bridesmaid wore a beige suit
with brown accessories. The groom was attired in a grey flannel
suit and his attendant, in a dark grey suit.
The ladies, including the bride’s
mother, wore corsages of tiny pink roses and forget-me-nots.
The gentlemen wore carnations. It was a quiet wedding, with
Rev. Albert Guthmiller officiating and Mrs. Grether at the organ.
Only relatives were present.
A dinner given at Club 10 after the
ceremony, was attended by the bride’s parents, the
attendants, and Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwick of Greenwood, another
sister of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alstot also were
present.
The bride grew up in Neillsville and attended school here. The groom is a veteran. He has been employed in Milwaukee for some time. The couple will make their home in Milwaukee.
