Fenske, Gustave August (10 August 1880 - 17 March 1957) 
 

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Gilbertson Funeral Home here for Gustave August Fenske, 76, who died at 11 o’clock Sunday night at the home of his son, Herbert, on Route 1, Chili.  Burial was made at Hillside Cemetery, Menasha. 
 

Rev. Marvin Beninga, pastor of American Lutheran Church, officiated. 
 

Mr. Fenske was born in Germany on August 10, 1880, and came to Clark County, where he settled in the Town of Fremont with his parents, at the age of three. 
 

He was married to Gertrude Schmitzer at Menasha on July 4, 1906.  He had resided with his son, Herbert, for the past seven months. 
 

Survivors include: three sons, Floyd of Menasha, Kenneth and Herbert of Chili; a sister, Mrs. Anna Montag, Chili; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
