Scott, George L. (8 July 1888 - 19 March
1957)
Funeral services for George L. Scott,
brother of Jess W. Scott, Neillsville, will be held at Eau Claire
at 1:30 p.m. Friday, with burial in the cemetery at Colfax.
The Rev. Frank B. Harcey, pastor of the First Congregational
Church, Neillsville, will officiate for both services. Death
took place at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire on Tuesday
morning.
George L. Scott, son of the Rev. and Mrs.
Walter Trench Scott, was born at Fulda, Minn., July 8, 1888.
His wife preceded him in death in 1930. He is survived by
three daughters; Jeanette (Mrs. George Alt) of Media, Pennsylvania;
Dolores, (Mrs. A. R. "Stir" Wagner) of Eau Claire; Goldie, (Mrs. H.
J. Butler) of Pensacola, Fla. Three surviving brothers are:
C. Beecher Scott of Van Nuys, California; E. S. Scott, Aurora,
Ill.; and Jess W. Scott, Neillsville.
The deceased was employed for a number of years as timekeeper with the Clark County Highway Department, Neillsville retiring three years ago. Since that time he had been living in Eau Claire with his daughter, Dolores.
