Schoengarth, Arthur Paul (18 May 1902 - March 1957) 
 

Funeral services were conducted Friday for Arthur Paul Schoengarth, 54, who died in a car accident west of Greenwood.  Services were held from the Georgas Funeral Home and the Rev. H. F. Brauer of Greenwood officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.   
 

Mr. Schoengarth was born May 18, 1902, in the Town of Grant.  He was the son of Fred and Anna (Kloff) Schoengarth.  He attended Happy Hollow School and worked on the home farm.  His marriage to Edith Menning took place December 28, 1927, at Winona, Minn. 
 

Following their marriage they farmed in the Town of York for 14 years before moving to the Greenwood area, where they have been for the past eight years.   
 

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Greenwood. 
 

He is survived by his wife and three children: Merlon Schoengarth of Willard; Mrs. Bernard (Delores) Walker, Willard; Robert Schoengarth, Greenwood; his father, Fred Schoengarth of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Alvina Gault, Greenwood; and a brother, Albert Schoengarth of Neillsville. Four grandchildren also survive. 
 

Pallbearers were: Frank Zickert, Edwin Johnson, Robert Fitzel, Elroy Johnson, William Roehl and Tom Krejci.  Mrs. William Roehl and Mrs. Frank Zickert were in charge of the flowers.
