Camaya, Cecilia S. (1 February 1935 - 5
January 2010)
Cecilia Songco Camaya went to her eternal
home Jan. 5, 2010, in Manila, Philippines, following a brief
illness surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 1,1935, in Guagua,
Pampanga, Philippines, to Maximino L. Camaya and Leonor
Songco.
She finished her bachelor’s degree
in elementary education and taught school for 20 years at the same
time pursuing a degree in library science.
In 1980 she immigrated to the United
States and worked in the medical records department of Memorial
Medical Center Clinic and Hospital in Neillsville until she retired
in 2005.
She led a frugal, prayerful life and
always valued hard work, a search for knowledge and perseverance.
She helped with the education and the raising of her nieces and
nephews from Leonor and Ana who survive her.
The family wishes to thank all of her
former co-workers, employers and friends who share in their
loss.
Her life was joy, love and hard
work. She lived well and full. She gave her all, and we are
forever grateful.
Lord help us to see death for what it
really is:
The end of poverty and the beginning of riches.
The end of frustration and the beginning of fulfillment.
The end of fear and the beginning of tranquility.
The end of pain and the beginning of joy.
The end of weakness and the beginning of strength.
