Grantham, Oliver (5 February 1882 - 25
March 1957)
Oliver W. Grantham, 75, of Wauconda,
Ill., father of Mrs. Albert Wilson of Neillsville, died Monday
evening in Neillsville. He had been a hospital patient for
two weeks.
The body reposed at the Georgas Funeral
Home from Tuesday evening until Wednesday, when it was taken to
Wauconda for services and burial on Friday. The Rev. N. Pomeroy of
Wauconda will officiate at the Federated Church. Burial will
be made in the Wauconda Cemetery.
Mr. Grantham was born February 5, 1882 at
Wauconda and was the son of the late Richard and Nellie (Stone)
Grantham. He received his education at Cary, Ill., and for 23
years was employed as custodian at the Wauconda grade school.
He also worked for a lumber yard there for several years.
On March 2, 1904 he was married to the
former Orpha Alverson at Cary, Ill. She survives him.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Fern) Wilson of Neillsville; Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Thompson, Lancing, Ill.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
