Allbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. George
(40th - 28 March 1957)
Mr. and Mrs. George Allbaugh were honor
guests Sunday when about 24 relatives and friends helped them
celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Kalsow and daughters, Beverly and Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Short,
Mr. and Mrs. Jess Wilding, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prochazka, all of
Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuhn and
sons, Paulie and Rickey, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Short, Mr. and Mr. Paul
Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short. The visitors arrived
about noon with well-filled baskets of food, and served dinner and
supper. The couple was presented with gifts of money, other
gifts, cards and a large wedding cake.
George Allbaugh and Ruth Carter, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Carter, were united in marriage at
the home of her parents, the farm which is now the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Allbaugh, March 28, 1917. The Rev. S. B. Pinney, then
pastor of the Neillsville and Shortville Presbyterian churches,
officiated. They were attended by Gladys Winters, now Mrs.
Irving Stevens, and Hubert Carter.
The afternoon was spent visiting and reminiscing of old times.
