Selves, Edward J "Ted" (29 July 1865 - 21
April 1957)
Edward J. "Ted" Selves, 91, of the Town
of Grant, died Sunday in a Marshfield Hospital, where he had been
admitted April 16.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from
the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the
Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Town of
Grant Cemetery.
Mr. Selves was born July 29, 1865, at
Buffalo, N. Y., son of the late John and Sarah (Buss) Selves.
As a small child he came to Clark County with his parents in a
covered wagon. They located on a farm on Pleasant Ridge. He
retired from farming several years ago.
In 1898 he was married to Charlotte Howard King. She died in 1906, leaving him with four small children. On December 19, 1911, he was married to Racie King at Neillsville. She survives him. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Nina) Blackman of Neillsville, and Mrs. George (Estella) Buddinger, of Rt. 4, Neillsville, and a grandchild.
