Slater, Jeannine (Marriage - 13 April 1957)

At home at Foster’s Trailer Court in River Falls are the new Mr. and Mrs. Robert Uhrig whose wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church in Hudson at 2:30 p.m., April 13, with Dr. Ernest W. Wright officiating.

The bride, Miss Jeannine Slater, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Slater of Hudson, chose a princess style white Italian silk gown fashioned with a lace-trimmed Sabrina neckline and a chapel train.  A matching pillbox cap trimmed with tulle and pearls, held her chapel length veil and she carried whie carnations, jonquils and narcissus.

Miss Joanne Slater, Hudson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Herbert Downing, River Falls, was bridesmaid.  Both attendants wore waltz length gowns of pink chiffon over taffeta and carried pink carnations, narcissus and jonquils.

Arley Uhrig of Madison was his brother, Robert’s best man.  They are sons of Fred Uhrig of Loyal.

Willard Olson of Elmwood was groomsman and ushers were Thomas Calvert of Benton, Richard Kruger of Loyal, James Johnson of Ellsworth, and Richard Schwenk of Hudson.

Mrs. Harold Walbrandt was organist and Miss Dorany Steichen sang, "I Love Thee" by Grieg and "Wedding Prayer" by Malbot.

A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Uhrig are juniors at Wisconsin State College at River Falls.

Guests from Loyal who attended (this portion was a blur so I could not real well enough to get names all correct.)
