Lupient, Barbara (28 DEC 1947)
At 8 o’clock Saturday morning, Dec. 28, in a wedding ceremony read at St. John’s Catholic church in Marshfield, Miss Barbara Mary Lupient, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lupient of Marshfield was united in marriage to Percy Arthur Voight of Loyal. Chrysanthemums and Boston fern adorned the altar for the nuptial high mass, read by Rev. Fr. Arthur G. Dresen.
The bride’s gown, of embroidered white satin, was designed with a net overskirt. Satin roses held her finger tip veil of illusion, and she carried a shower bouquet of flowers and a rosary. Her jewelry, a triple strand of pearls, belonged to the bridegroom’s mother.
Miss Luella Lupeint, a sister of the bride, as maid of honor, and Miss Betty Sigl, bridesmaid, wore similar frocks of pink and blue satin, styled with ballerina net skirts. They held nosegays of pastel colored flowers, tied with ribbons to match their dresses.
John Mase of Stevens Point and Roland Lupient, a brother of the bride, attended the groom.
Following the ceremony, 60 guests were entertained at dinner in St. John’s dining hall, which was decorated in a blue, pink and white color scheme.
After a week’s honeymoon, spent in Chicago, the couple is now residing in Stevens Point, where Mr. Voight is a chemical laboratory instructor and student.
