Mr. Beaver was born on July 4, 11884, near Loyal and was married to Alma Bassett on June 17, 1915. He was educated in District schools and farmed near Loyal all of his life. For the past 24 years he lived on his farm a half mile west of the village.
At various times Mr. Beaver held offices on the town board and in the school district. He was a member of the Catholic Holy Name Society.
Surviving besides his wife are four children, Mrs. Catherine Bauer, and John and Dorothy Beaver, all at home, and Mrs. Paul (Louise) Schmitt of Loyal; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Susan Wedl of Loyal and Mrs. Peter Schmitz of Compton, Cal., and six brothers, George Beaver of Granton, and Nick, William, Edward, Bernard and Matt Beaver, all of Loyal.
Mr. Beaver, son of the late John and Mary Beaver, was one of 19 children, five brothers and five sisters having preceded him in death.
Funeral services were planned for last Friday at 9 a.m. from St. Anthony’s Catholic church, but because of severe weather conditions it was necessary to postpone the services to Saturday morning. The Rev. Aloys Zinthefer officiated at the requiem high mass and the Sisters and school children sang.
Serving as pallbearers were his six remaining brothers, George, William, Nick, Ed, Bernard and Matt.
Those from away who attended the services were Gearge Beaver of Granton, Mrs. Kate Beaver of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bauer of Bakerville.
The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved husband and father.
