Firnstahl, Augusta (16 MAY 1875-16 FEB 1947)

 

Mrs. Frank Firnstahl, 72, a resident of Colby most of her life, died at the home of her son, Lawrence in the town of Beaver on Sunday afternoon, Feb, 16.

 

Mrs. Firnstahl, nee Augusta Hertz,was born in the town of Colby on May 16, 1875, and was married to Frank Firnstahl in Colby on Feb. 25, 1897. Mr. aaaaaafirnstahl passed away on July 5, 1936. Shortly after the death of her husband Mrs. Firnstahl moved to her sob’s home.

 

Surviving are three sons, Richard of Oshkosh and Alphonse and Lawrence of Loyal; a daughter, Miss Helen, of Wisconsin Rapids, and two step-daughters, Miss Ruby Firnstahl of Loyal and Mrs. William Wendt of Evanston, Ill. There are five grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby on last Thursday morning, with the Rev. N. B. Beschta reading the requiem high mass. Burial followed in the Colby cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were John Weix, John Meyer, William Meyer, Peter Applebeck, C. J. Kraus, and George Allar.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved one.
