Stange, Wilhelmina "Minnie" (12 JUNE 1870-24 FEB 1947)
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilhelmina (Minnie) Stange were held in Trinity Lutheran church here on Thursday, Feb. 27. The 2 O’clock service was preceded by short services at the Loyal funeral home at 1:30. The Rev. J. C. Langholz had charge of both services.
Mrs. Stange, nee Wilhelmina Ernestine Noubdnn, (? spelling) was born at Pienzlaii, Germany, on June 12, 1870, and passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans’ home in King on Monday, Feb. 24, of heart trouble. She had come to this country in 1889, coming direct to Clark county. In October 1891, she was married in Chicago to Charles Stange, who preceded her in death in January 1921.
After living in the Loyal vicinity for 36 years, Mrs. Stange moved to Stevens Point, where she lived for 18 years, until three years ago.
She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Freda Thrun of Comstock and Ruth Lieske of Loyal; two sons, Frank Stange of Loyal and Arno Stange of Stevens Point; one sister Mrs. Herman Stange of Loyal; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
"Left to Us" was sung at the services in the church. Burial was in the Loyal cemetery. Burial was in the Loyal cemetery. Pallbearers were August Ehlert, Max Neitzel, Albert Davel, Max Voss, John Gerger and Philip Capelle. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Max Voss, Mrs. Philip Capelle, Miss Edna Lieske and Mrs. Julius Ehlert.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Stange, Miss Jean Stange, Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner, Mrs. Henning, Mrs. Preus, and Mrs. Huey, all of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Thrun and Mrs. Joe Paalas and son, Gene, of Comstock; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stange of Wausau; Herman T. Stange of Pittsville; and Mr. and Mrs. Alois Stange of Athens.
The Tribune extends to the survivors its sympathy in their loss.
