April Young and Rodney Smazal were married August 1, 2009, during an outdoor ceremony held at Country Aire, Stratford, with Pastor Rebekah Tarras officiating.   
 

Parents of the couple are Judi Andrew, Spencer and the late Richard Young, and Victor and Carolyn Smazal, Colby.   
 

Maid of honor was Angel LaSee. Bridesmaid was Jenni Klimpke. Junior bridesmaid was Brandi Ashbeck.  
 

Best man was Chad Pagelsdorf.  The groomsman was Barry Gawlikoski.  
 

The flower girl and ring-bearer was Kylie and Tristen Smazal.  
 

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Colby High School and is presently employed at Abbyland Port Pack, Curtiss.   
 

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Colby High School and is presently employed at Lynn Farms, Unity.  
 

The couple resides in Unity.
