Roberts, E. J. (? - 24 June 1957 
 

Masonic rites for E. J. Roberts, 69, who died June 24, were held Thursday afternoon from the Masonic Temple, with the Rev. Frank B. Harcey, officiating.  Military rites with the Wilson-Heintz Post No. 2241, V. F. W., and Haugen-Richmond Post No. 73, American Legion, were held at the graveside at the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Ellis Wall, accompanied by Miss Susan Wall, sang, "The Lord’s Prayer." 
 

Members of Neillsville Lodge, No. 163, F. & A. M. attended the services in a group.   
 

Pallbearers were: John Brandt, Charles Neff, Sr., E. H. Snyder, George Tibbett, Harold Trewartha and Fred Wall. 
 

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Ruth Dern and Mrs. Peter Holum of the Order of Eastern Star; and Sadie Haight, Rose Krultz, Velma Keller, Mamie Wieting, Dorothy Ludovic, Lorraine Flynn, Caroline Seidleman, Susan Schultz and Alma DeCremer, all members of the V. F. W. Auxiliary. 
 

Taking part in the military rites were: Joe Cardarella, in command; Colorbearers, P. C. Ludovic, Ernest Karnitz, H. J. Naedler; color guard, Harold Pischer and Leon Stanley; firing squad, Donald Drescher, Gerald Greene, Robert Lulloff and Mike Krultz, Jr.; and bugler, Jack Stucki. 
 

Out of town relatives and friends attending included: Mr. and Mrs. George Wolff, and Miss Jane Wolff, Chetek; Miss Lillian Wakefield, St. Paul; Miss Dairy Wakefield, Pipestone, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Wade Pennell, Plymouth; Arthur Laemle, Lloyd L. Felker, Bert Becker, all of Marshfield; Sherman Stepnes and Jack Crossman, Eau Claire; and Si Johnson, Osseo.
