Celesnik, Gregory (10 March 1871 - 10 July 1957) 
 

Funeral services for Gregory Celesnik, 86, of Greenwood were held Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, with burial in the parish cemetery.  The Rev. Edward Hartung officiated. 
 

Pallbearers were: George, Lavern and Theodore Suda; and Peter, Tony and John Celesnik. 
 

Mr. Celesnik died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Horn at Willard.  He was in failing health for some time. 
 

Mr. Celesnik was born March 10, 1871, in Yugoslavia.  He came to the United States 53 years ago and lived in Ely, Minn., and Waukegan, Ill. until he came to Clark County in 1912.  He farmed in Willard until he retired and moved to this city. 
 

He is survived by five daughters and three sons: Mrs. Vandy (Mary) Suda of Marshfield; Mrs. Edwin (Jennie) Langfeldt of Racine; Mrs. Vernon (Annie) Pastell and Mrs. Joseph (Amelia) Musich of Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Horn of Willard; John Celesnik of Willard; Peter Celesnik of Boyd; and Tony Celesnik of Milwaukee. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Seliskar of Ely, Minn.; and Mrs. Johanna Novak of Waukegan, and a brother, Tony Celesnik of Waukegan, also survive.
