Osgood, Myron (10 September 1878 - 2 4
August 1957)
Funeral services were held Monday for
Myron Osgood, 77, a life-long resident. The Rev. Virgil
Holmes, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Burial
was made in Windfall Cemetery.
Mr. Osgood died August 24 at his
home. He was born September 10, 1879, in the Town of Grant
and attended the Windfall school. On February 20, 1903, he
was married to Jennie Davis, who survives. During the first years
of their marriage Mr. Osgood did carpenter work around Granton, and
later farmed in the Town of Grant. He retired from farming in
1927 and moved to Granton, where he continued doing carpenter
work.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter,
Mrs. Virgil (Mary) Billman of East Troy; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle
Davis; and a brother, Rella Osgood, both of Granton.
Pallbearers were: E. L. Witte, John Hammond, Horace Haack, William Morely, Stan Garbisch and Hugh Berg.
