Gall, Alice (Marriage - 31 August
1957)
Married Saturday at a 9 a.m. nuptial
ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church were Miss Alice Gall
and Alvin Wirkuty, both of Milwaukee. Their parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Edwin Gall of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wirkuty
of the Town of York. The double ring ceremony was performed
by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann before an altar banked with
baskets of white gladioli.
A gown of lace over net with a tulle
finger tip length veil attached to a sequin crown was worn by the
bride. She was given in marriage by her father. Her bridal
bouquet consisted of baby pink roses and stephanotis.
The bride’s sister-in-law, Mrs.
Dorothy Gall, was her matron- of-honor. Elaine Reams, a
friend, was her bridesmaid. Little Judy Marshall, niece of
the bride was flower girl.
Arthur Gall attended the groom as best
man. The bride’s uncle, Leander Schuld, was the
usher.
A reception for 50 guests was held at the
American Legion Hall following the ceremony.
On their return from a wedding trip they
will reside in Milwaukee, where the bride is an auditing clerk and
the groom is an iron worker.
Out of town relatives here for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gall and Diane, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gall, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vetrano, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bennett, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bauer, Loyal; Wilbur and Henry Blord, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wirkuty and daughter, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wirkuty and daughter, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Domine, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Becker, Richfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gall, Dorchester; William Gall, Mr. and Mrs. George Hammond, Loyal; Bobbie and Evelyn Gall, Milwaukee.
