Sontag, Sadie (19 March 1873 - 27 August
1957)
Graveside services were conducted
Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Jule (Sadie) Sontag, 84, of St. Paul,
Minn., who died August 27. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey
officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Sontag was born March 19,
1873. As a young girl she made her home with the Balches in
Neillsville. In December, 1898, she was married to Jule Sontag
here. Mr. Sontag was an employee of the railroad. They
made their home in Altoona following their marriage and for the
past 50 years Mrs. Sontag resided in St. Paul. She had been ill for
20 years.
She was a member of the Orient Chapter of
the Order of Eastern Start, St. Paul.
Surviving is a son, Wallace, of St. Paul;
a sister, Mrs. Harriet Sales of Bozeman, Mont.; and a
granddaughter, Nancy Sontag.
Arrangements for the local service were
made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
People from away attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Sontag and daughter, Nancy, St. Paul; Mrs. William Sontag and daughter, Laura Louise, St. Paul; Miss Rita Youmans, Madison; and Miss Clara Knoop, Marshfield.
