Beyer, Hattie (9 November 1890 - 28 August 1957) 
 

Mrs. Hattie Beyer, 66, of 120 E. 6th Street, Neillsville, died August 28, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Tews in Neillsville. 
 

Funeral services were held Saturday from St. John’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Alfred Schewe officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Beyer was a life long resident of Clark County.  She was born November 9, 1890, the daughter of William and Augustina Meihack, in the Town of Weston.  As a young girl she worked on her parents’ farm, and in 1916 she was married to Richard Beyer.  They farmed in the Town of Pine Valley and in 1936 moved to Neillsville.  Mr. Beyer died in 1945. 
 

After the death of her husband, she was employed as a cook in various restaurants.   About a year ago she was force by ill health to retire.   
 

She is survived by four children: Walter, Neillsville; Harold, Mineral Point; Robert, Neillsville; Mrs. Edgar (Alice) Tews, Neillsville. Four sisters and four brothers also survive: Mrs. Augusta Roberts, Oshkosh; Mrs. Louise Ritschke, Oshkosh; Mrs. Bertha Larson, Marshfield; Mrs. Frank (Anna) Kuhl, Neillsville; Max Meihack, Igloo, S. D.; Warner Meihack, Marshfield; William and Albert Meihack, Neillsville. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. 
 

Mrs. Beyer was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary. 
 

Funeral arrangements were made by Georgas Funeral Home. 
 

The Ladies Aid of St. John’s church sang two selections. The member of the Aid and the Legion Auxiliary attended the service in a body. 
 

Pallbearers were: Harland Kuhl, Louis Worchel, Victor Ritschke, Arthur Larson, Dale and Rodger Meihak. 
 

People from out of town attending included: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Beyer and family, Mineral Point; Mrs. Augusta Roberts, Mrs. Louise Ritschke, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Ritschke, Mrs. Al Diskowski and Robert Ritschke, all of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Larson, Chicago, Ill.; Albert Meihack, Williamson, W. Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Meihack, Mr. and Mrs. John Olson, Mrs. Elton Shaw, Miss Clara Knoop, Marshfield; Mrs. Charles Meier, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Voss and Ed Timmler, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Spiegel, Marshfield; Miss Lorraine Meihack, Wausau (balance missing).
