Munson, Helen (20 JAN 1955)
Immaculate Conception Church of New Orleans, La. was the scene of a lovely wedding ceremony uniting Miss Helen Munson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Munson of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Clark Seelig, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Seelig of Pittsfield, Mass., on Jan. 20th, 1955 at 5:30 p.m., with Rev. James Greeley officiating.
The bride wore a white satin gown, ballerina length, with a scalloped neckline, fitted bodice and a very full skirt with lace over satin. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white roses. A pearl necklace and earrings completed her outfit.
The bride’s gown was made for her by the groom’s sister, Mrs. Harry Vella of Pittsfield, Mass.
Mrs. Daniel Clark, friend of the bride, and her only attendant, wore a light blue faille ballerina length gown, a small crown hat in blue and carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Mr. Larry Kell attended the groom as best man. The men wore the conventional dark suits.
A reception for friends and relatives followed the service, and among the guests were the crew from Mr. Seelig’s ship.
The newlyweds will make their home in New Orleans, where the bride is employed as a registered nurse at Charity Hospital of Louisiana, and the groom is a commercial seaman, holding the rank of mate, and is employed by the Delta Shipping Lines of New Orleans. He has visited in over sixty countries in line with his work.
