Rotarians to Hear of European Trip
(1957)
The Rev. Idar J. Tanner, pastor of
Calvary Lutheran Church, will deliver a travelogue to Rotarians
next Monday night. In 1952 the Rev. Tanner was sent as a
delegate from his Oconomowoc church to the Lutheran Welfare
Federation meeting at Hanover, Germany. During his 10 week
trip he visited eight European countries. The trip was made
by air, with Mrs. Tanner accompanying him. Pictures taken on
this trip will be shown Monday night.
At the Rotary meeting Monday night,
Rotarians decided to hold their meetings starting October 7 over
Becker’s, in the rooms formerly used by the club.
The scout drive was discussed and Art Drescher was reinstated to membership after being absent due to illness.
