Meyer, Veronica (20 NOV 1895 - 2 FEB 1955)
Mrs. Leo Meyer, 60, an aunt of Mrs. Foster Will, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and a resident of the city of Loyal (Clark Co.), died at 12:25 o’clock yesterday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been a patient since Jan. 25th. She had been in ill health for the past several months.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal, with the rev. Norbert King officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Beginning at noon today the body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home, where a general rosary will be held at 8:45 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Meyer, formerly Veronica Kilbourn, was born Nov. 20, 1895 in the village of Loyal, where she lived all her life. She attended local schools and graduated from the Loyal High School in 1913. In June 1920 she was married to Leo Meyer, who died on Feb. 27, 1953.
Surviving are a son, Allen Meyer, a daughter, Mrs. Milton (Joan) Knaack, and her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kilbourn, all of Loyal; a sister, Clara Voight, Wauwatosa; a granddaughter, Kristine.
Two brothers have preceded her in death.
