Yoder, Alice I. (19 NOV 1877 - 2 FEB 1955)
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Alice Ingri Yoder of Gilman on Friday afternoon at one o’clock from Plombon’s Funeral Home, Stanley, the Rev. F. M. Salveson of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was made in the Teegarden Cemetery west of Menomonie.
Mrs. Yoder passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital on Wednesday at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 13 days.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1877 in Smoland, Sweden. She came to live with her sister, Mrs. Peter Rasmussen, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), at the age of 14. In March of 1895 she was united in marriage to Peter A. Yoder. He passed away in May of 1933. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Alice and Sarah.
Mrs. Yoder resided in Cornell, Thorp, Stanley and Knapp, before coming to live with her son, George, in Gilman in 1933.
Surviving are the following children: Ralph of St. Paul; Mrs. Paul (Flossie) Heike of Aberdeen, Wash.; Gust of St. Paul; Mrs. James (Grace) Welch of Gilman; George of Gilman; Mrs. Rollin (Kathryn) Annis of Owen; Mrs. Leonard (Bessie) Mida of Cottonwood, Idaho; and David of Ferdinand, Idaho. There are also 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
