Noah, Arvilla (12 FEB 1955)
Immanuel Church, town of Warner, provided the setting on Saturday afternoon for the marriage of Miss Arvilla Noah, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Noah, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Robert Blunck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blunck, Withee. During the 1:30 o’clock ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Charles Koch, two vocal selections, "I Love You Truly" and "The Wedding Prayer," were sung by Don Peterson, Withee, accompanied by Mrs. Alvin Albert.
Buttons trimmed the long sleeves of the bridal gown’s lace bodice. Lace inserts were set into the white satin skirt that extended into a long train. The three lace hearts in the crown, which secured her three quarter length veil, were outlined with seed pearls and rhinestones. She carried a heart shaped bouquet of white carnations bordered with red ones.
Identically styled white taffeta formals featuring brocaded nylon overskirts were donned by the three bridal ladies, Miss Arlene Noah, a sister of the bride, as maid of honor; Mrs. Herbert Noah, Milwaukee, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Shirley Rasmussen, Marshfield, as bridesmaids. Each gown was completed with a bright red bolero. Their bouquets resembled the bride’s.
Larry Blunck, Withee, served as his brother’s best man. Other attendants included Herbert Noah, Milwaukee, and Don William, Stanley, as groomsmen, and William Ammentorp, Withee, and Norman Noah, a brother of the bride, Oconto, as ushers.
A dinner in the church parlors was followed by a reception at the home of the bride’s parents. A dance in Merry Ol’ Gardens culminated the day’s festivities.
The new Mrs. Blunck is a graduate of Greenwood High School, while her husband, a veteran of the Korean conflict, is a graduate of Withee High School. The latter has employment at the Clark County Hospital. They will reside in Withee.
Coming for the wedding from out of town were guests from Neillsville, Oconto, Owen, Thorp, Withee, Abbotsford, Stratford, Schofield, Stanley, Eau Claire, Milwaukee, Ft. Bliss, Tex., and Lake Forest Ill.
