Kelly, Colleen (Marriage - 12 October
1957)
The Rev. H. F. Brauer officiated Saturday
at the double ring ceremony which united in marriage Miss Colleen
Kelly and Franklin Cole, both of Milwaukee. The 2 p.m. ceremony
took place at the St. John’s Lutheran Church,
Christie.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.
John Kelly of Neillsville, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Jane Cole of
Milwaukee.
Miss June Braun of Eau Claire was
maid-of-honor, and the bride’s sister, Miss Ann Kelly, was
her bridesmaid. Both wore lavender chiffon dresses and carried
cascade bouquets of pink carnations tied with orchid net.
The bride, given in marriage by her
father, chose for her wedding, a ballerina-length gown of lace and
silk, over taffeta. Her finger-tip veil fell from a crown of
sequins and seed pearls. She carried an all white bouquet of Fuji
mums and pompons tied with an embroidered net bow.
Bestman was Richard Cole of
Milwaukee. Bill Kelly, brother of the bride, was
groomsman.
Approximately 90 guests attended a
reception in the American Legion Hall in Neillsville.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville
High school and the beauty school at Eau Claire.
The newlyweds will reside at 3347 S.
Kinnickinnic, Milwaukee.
Out of town relatives and friends attending were from Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha, Wisconsin Rapids, Eau Claire, Adell, Fond du Lac, Greenwood and Granton, and Grand Rapids, Mich.
