Wendt, Sadie (6 June 1897 - 11 November
1957)
Mrs. Sadie Wendt, 60, a native of
Neillsville and widow of Arthur Wendt, died at her home Monday
evening following a two-week illness. She lived in
Watertown.
Mrs. Wendt, daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Weisner, was born in Neillsville on June 6, 1897. She
was married to Arthur Wendt on August 1, 1915. They lived in
Circle, Mont., until 1928, and then moved to Watertown.
She is survived by five children: Wayne,
Melvin and Mrs. Francis (Adela) Pirkel of Watertown; Mrs. Donald
(Betty) Tellofson, Maquoketa, Ia.; Mrs. Fred (Norma) Wendt of
Fort Atkinson; and by 14 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Herman
Schultz, Neillsville, and Mrs. Walter Simonsen of Merrillan. Her
husband died in 1954.
Mrs. Wendt was a member of the Methodist
church, the Clarence McGuire Post Auxiliary, V. F. W., the Friendly
Club and the Women’s Relief Corps.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon. Those who attended from here were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schultz, Bert and Archie, Victor of Eau Claire, and Mrs. Walter Simonsen.
