Odell, Arthur C (11 January 1896 - 10 November 1957) 
 

Arthur C. Odell, 61, of Neillsville, Rt. 1, died November 10 at the hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks. 
 

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from the Georgas Funeral Home.  The Rev. Frank B. Harcey, pastor of the Congregational Church, officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. 
 

Mr. Odell was born January 11, 1896, in Oregon, the son of the late Grant and Anna (Hanson) Odell.  He received his education in southern Wisconsin.  He enlisted in World War I on June 3, 1917, at Janesville and served in France.  He received his discharge at Camp Grant on May 19, 1919.  He was a member of Co. M, 128th Infantry 32nd Division.  
 

On March 2, 1927, he was married to Alvina Brumer at Harvard, Ill.  Following their marriage they farmed in Monroe for eight years before coming to Clark County and settling on a farm in Washburn Township. 
 

Mr. Odell was active in special affairs and at one time served as a member of the school board. 
 

He is survived by his wife, a step-daughter, Mrs. Roland (Sylvia) Elbert of Spirit Lake, Ia.  Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Lind, Harvard, Ill., and Mrs. Sanford (Vera) Delbert of Peoria, Ill.; and three brothers; Horace Odell, and Defrost Odell, both of Harvard, Ill.; and Albert Odell of Washington State.

Funeral services for Arthur C. Odell were conducted November 13, from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.  
 

Pallbearers were: Dave Krutsch, Ernest Kuhn, John Urban, Jr., Richard Qualley, Albert and Warren Lincoln.  
 

Wilfred Galstad, vocalist, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott, sang, "Abide With Me" and What a Friend we Have in Jesus." 
 

People from out of town attending included Mr. and Mrs. Roland Elbert, Spirit Lake, Ia.; Horace Odell, Forest Odell, Mrs. Don Lind, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gates, Harvard, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Casperson, Mr. and Mrs. Gwyn Johnson and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Johnson, Appleton, Wisconsin.
