Osowski, Vincent #3 (11 DEC 1885 - 13 FEB 1955)
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. last Thursday at St. Hedwig’s Church for Vincent Osowski, 69, who died Feb. 13, 11955, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Stanley Wargolet, town of Withee. Death was caused by a liver ailment. He had been in ill health the past month.
The Rev. Francis Piekarski officiated at the rites. Burial took place in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Osowski was born Dec. 11, 1885 in Poland. In 1887 he came to the United States with his parents and settled in Milwaukee. He was married to Frances Cieciora, whose death occurred in 1944. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm near Thorp.
Mr. Osowski is survived by six sons, Edward, John, Thomas, Stanley and Norbert Osowski, all of Thorp, and Harry Osowski, West Memphis, Ark., four daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Truce and Mrs. Stanley Wargolet, both of Thorp, Mrs. John Biddle, Greenwood, and Mrs. Edward Wolowick, Withee, 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
