Schmidt, Frank H. (? –22 November 1957) 
 

Funeral services for Frank H. Schmidt, 69, long time Thorp area resident, were held Monday from St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp.  He died at his home in Thorp last Friday morning. 
 

The services were conducted by the Rev. J. Hoffman. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. 
 

A resident of the Thorp area since 1910, Mr. Schmidt was born in Woodville.  In 1947, he moved into Thorp, retiring after 37 years of farming.  He was married in Plymouth on November 12, 1926. 
 

Mr. Schmidt served for 18 years as treasurer of the Pioneer School District, and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Holy Name Society. 
 

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte, a son who lives in Sheboygan, 10 grandchildren, two brothers and five sisters.  One sister, Mrs. John Mayer, lives in Thorp.
