Mr. Viggo B. Rasmusen, Supervising Principal in the public schools at Athens, Wisconsin has been selected by the Board of Education of the Greenwood Public Schools to succeed Principal A. Moldenhauer who recently accepted the school superintendency at Mosinee.

 

Previous to his assuming the principalship at the Athens schools, Mr. Rasmussen headed the schools in Spencer for 1941 to 1944 and in Centuria, Wisconsin from 1938 to 1941.

 

Mr. Rasmusen was granted his Bachelor of Education degree from the State Teachers College at River Falls in 1936 and the Master of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin and 1945. He is a member of the Phi Delta Kappa, National Honorary Educational Society.

 

In addition to his administrative duties in the Athens schools, Mr. Rasmusen was elected delegate to the Wisconsin Education Association Assembly from Marathon County Teachers Associaton Committees. He is president of the Marathon County conference.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Rasmusen and their 9 month old daughter will move here later this month, when Mr. Rasmusen will assume duties in our schools.
