Baddgor, Edward G. (14 MAR 1866 - 9 MAR 1955)

 

Funeral services were held at the Hartwig and Ruesch Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday for Edward George Baddgor, 88, town of Maplehurst, who died at his home about 2 a.m. a week ago yesterday.  The Rev. Arden Crawford officiated.  The body was taken to the Vine Funeral Home at Rochester, Minn., where burial took place Monday.

 

Mr. Baddgor was born in Rochester March 14, 1866, and spent his youth in the city when it was a pioneer village.  He was married there to Edith Wicks on Jan. 1, 1887.  The couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary in 1947.

 

He worked as a maintenance man at Rest haven Soldiers Home at Waukesha for a number of years and came to Taylor County 25 years ago.

 

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Allen, Owen; Levi, Davenport, Ia.; Wesley, Medford; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Wren, Bradenton, Fla.; Mrs. Frank Bender, Oneida, S.D.; 11 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.  Seven children preceded him in death, six of them infancy.  Three sisters and a brother also preceded him in death.
