Murray, Lydia (15 JUL 1882 - 4 APR 1955)
Mrs. Lydia Murray, a resident of the city of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past half century, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Robinson, Owen, Monday, succumbing to a lingering illness. She was 73 years of age.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at two o’clock from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with Rev. H. D. Wagner, pastor of the Alliance Church officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery. During the services Mrs. John Saarinen sang several vocal selections.
Serving as pallbearers were Henry Anderson, Leonard Hamm, Floyd and Lloyd Wilson, Melvin Bjornstad and Orville Fillipp.
The deceased was born on July 15, 1882. In 1904 she was united in marriage to Eugene Murray in a ceremony performed at Fairchild, Wis., and shortly thereafter they moved to Owen where her late husband was associated with the lumbering industry.
She is survived by five sons, Cyril, Gerald and LeRoy of Racine; Theodore of Kansasville, Wis., and Robert of Owen; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Loretta) Robinson and Mrs. Orville (Gladys) Fillipp of Owen; a brother, Rev. Knight of Eau Claire and one sister, Mrs. Frank Gilbert of Cornell.
Her husband and one son, Stanley, preceded her in death.
