Funeral services for Mrs. August Fricke,
74, were held from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m.
Monday. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. The
Rev. Norbert King was officiant.
Following an illness of several months, Mrs. Fricke died at her home at 6:45 p.m., Thursday, January 2, general
Rosary service was held at the Myre
Funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Fricke, the former Mary Weyhmiller,
was born in the town of Sherman, July 29, 1883. When a young
woman she went to Manitowoc, where she was married to August Fricke
on November 23, 1904. They returned to this vicinity and
purchased a farm in the town of Loyal. After retirement 17
years ago they moved into the city of Loyal. Mr. Fricke died
February 6, 1953.
Mrs. Fricke was a member of the Altar
Society of St. Anthony’s Church, and member of the local
Royal Neighbor Camp.
She is survived by two sons, George of
Milwaukee, and Oscar of Loyal; two daughters, Mrs. William (Melva)
Martusis of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. William (Arwilda) Loch of
Watkins, Minn.; by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;
two brothers, George, and Otto of Loyal; and four sisters, Mrs.
Emma Lipke of Mendota, Ill., Mrs. Della Kapka, Oakland, Calif.,
Mrs. Esther Hudson, Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mrs. Agnes Bowen, Los
Angeles, Calif.
Pallbearers were nephews and grandsons: Kenneth Weyhmiller, Dale Weyhmiller, Dr. Raymond Lipke, Dale Young, Alan Langfeldt and Billy Lock.
