Service Notes (1958)
At least four Clark County men took part
in recent Seventh Army maneuvers in Germany in which more than
100,000 troops were involved.
The four were:
Pvt. Robert J. Sischo, 21, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Leo C. Sischo of Rt. 2, Neillsville, and a graduate of
Neillsville High School;
Pvt. Joel T. Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs.
E. G. Schmidt, of Thorp, a 1952 graduate of Thorp High School;
Pvt. Larry A. Peterson, 18, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Peter C. Peterson, Rt. 2, Owen, a former student at Owen
High School and;
Pvt. John R. Briski, 23, of Rt. 1, Thorp, the son of Mrs. Katarina Briski of Greenwood.
