Molzan, Ferdinand (6 JAN 1877 - 10 MAY 1955)
Tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o’clock funeral services will be conducted for Ferdinand Molzan, 78, who passed away at his farm home northwest of Withee Tuesday, May 10th, 1955. Rev. Sprengler will officiate at the services to be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Julius Cizik, Fred Rohland, Julius Rohland, Ernest Duvall, Fred Rohland and Adolph Cizik. In charge of the floral offerings will be Mesdames Julius Cizik, Adolph Cizik, Eleanor and Alice Petke.
The deceased is a pioneer resident of this community, having lived here for the past 42 years, during which time he was a faithful and spirited leader in the congregation of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was born on Jan. 6, 1877 in Germany and on July 29, 1905 was united in marriage to Anna Marshall in a ceremony performed at Mt. Vernon, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Gustave and Fred, Withee; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Koepsell, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Mrs. Harry (Gertrude) Magusen, Chicago, Ill., and a brother, Carl, who still resides in Germany.
