Witte, Louise (4 April 1872 - 13 March 1958) 
 

Mrs. Herman C. Witte, 87, died March 13, in Neillsville.  She had been ill for the last two years. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church of Granton, with the Rev. E. T. Keller of Pittsville officiating.  Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Witte, the former Louise Butschke, was born April 4, 1872, in Ashippun.  She was married June 10, 1897, to Herman C. Witte at Billingham, Minn., and had been a resident of Granton for 48 years. 
 

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Renata) Rounsville of Minneapolis; and three sons, Erhart Witte, Granton; Dr. Hubert Witte, Frederic; Alex Witte of Racine.  Nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Pautz of Milwaukee and Mrs. Mary Beck of St. Paul, also survive. 
 

Pallbearers were: Ed Jahr, Alfred Geber, Louis Helm, Walter Schlinsog, Dan Nickel and Lucien Moh.
