Paulson, Beverly Ann (July 17, 1925 - February 12, 2010)  
 

Beverly Ann Paulson, 84, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at her residence in the Pine Ridge Assisted Living Center in Colby.  
 

Beverly was born July 17, 1925, in Dorchester, the daughter of Ansel and Alice (Ekdahl) Paulson.   
 

After graduating from Dorchester High School, she enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she obtained her degree in journalism in 1947.   
 

Beverly was a reporter for the Stevens Point Journal, Waterloo Courier (Iowa) and the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Herald (Fla.). Beverly later went back to school and graduated with her masters in education from Northern Illinois University.   
 

She taught journalism at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. She later retired from teaching and moved back to Dorchester to take care of her mother. She enjoyed volunteering and tutoring at Dorchester Elementary School. 
 

She is survived by her twin sister, Beatrice (Larry) Martin of Elburn, Ill.     
 

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Paulson.    
 

Memorial donations are appreciated to the Dorchester Public Library in Beverly’s name.  Her family will have a private memorial service with burial of ashes in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
