Arnold Gorman, 62, of Granton died
Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at St. Joseph’s hospital in
Marshfield.
Arnold Edward Gorman was born March 22,
1947, in Ironton, OH, the son of Edward and Gladys (Wilson)
Gorman. They moved to Granton in 1960, and after Arnold
finished school, he helped on area farms. Shortly thereafter,
he began working at Berg Implement in Marshfield as a
machinist. He was united in marriage to Susan (Brody)
Sternitsky June 29, 1979, in Granton. They lived their entire
married life in Granton. In 1990, due to health issues,
Arnold was forced to retire from Berg Implement after many years of
employment.
He enjoyed baking and cooking. He
loved gardening and bird watching, and he enjoyed fishing and
playing cards. Most of all however; he loved spending time
with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; a
daughter, Heidi Harris of Fort Worth, TX; step-children, Sandy (Orville Scheibe) Sternitsky of Marshfield and Brian (Brenda)
Sternitsky of Granton and their children Brian, Brandon and
Brittney Sternitsky; a brother, Harry (Helen) Gorman of Howell, MI;
a sister, Doris (Dutch) Cremmins of Ohio; a half-brother, Michael (Ann) Sternitsky of Neillsville; and a half-sister, Janet McLeod of
Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
his son, George, and his sister, Pat Koster.
Funeral services for Arnold were held at
11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at the Gesche Funeral Home in
Neillsville. Pastor Joe Weiers officiated. Interment was in
the Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Visitation was from 9:30
a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gesche Funeral Home.
Casketbearers were: Dennis and Chuck
Hillert, Chad Brody, Scott Jakobi, David Schwake and John
Krause.
