Schield, Ella (14 October 1897 - 2 June 1958) 
 

Funeral services were conducted June 5, from the Hammond Funeral Home in Chicago for Mrs. Ella (Simons) Schield, 61, who died June 2, following a heart attack.  Burial was made in the Arlington Cemetery (Ill.) 
 

Mrs. Schield was the daughter of the late John and Martha Simons of Neillsville.  She was born October 14, 1897, in Neillsville, and for many years was employed as a clerk at the C. C. Sniteman Company, and also at the Jule Neverman Store.  Her marriage to Nick Schield took place in 1923 in Neillsville.  In 1925 the family moved to Chicago. 
 

She is survived by three children, Mrs. Betty Davis, Chicago; Donald and Kenneth, both at home; and three grandchildren. 
 

Mrs. August Nemitz and Mrs. Charles Schultz of Neillsville attended the funeral services.
