 Leffel, Gladys "Jackie" (20 MAR 1920 - 29 JAN 2010)
 
 Gladys :Jackie" Leffel, 89, Colby, died on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Colonial Center, Colby. At her request, private visitation and funeral services will be held at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. The Rev. Robert Olson will officiate. Burial will take place in Colby Memorial Cemetery, Colby.
 
 Gladys Lueck was born on March 20, 1920, in Stratford, to William and Marie (nee Noren) Lueck and attended Stratford Schools. On July 29, 1939, she married Bernard "Sonny" Leffel. They farmed in the town of Frankfort until 1995, when they moved to Spencer. She served on the Upham School Board and was employed at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, until retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and making quilts. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.
 
 Survivors include a daughter, Audrey (Virgil) Reckner, Spencer; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Orleata Leffel and Bonnie Mangan.
 
 Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband in 1978; two sisters; and six brothers.
