Erdman, Adolph #2 (15 NOV 1907 - 25 JUN 1955)
Funeral services were held at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon, June 28 for Adolph Herman Erdman, 47, who died Saturday, June 25, 1955, suffering from coronary thrombosis. The Rev. Serenta officiated with burial being made in Green Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased, while four of his cousins acted as flower girls.
Vocal numbers were sung by Mrs. Schultz, soloist, who was accompanied by Mrs. Paul Woik at the organ.
Adolph Herman Erdman was born on Nov. 15, 1907 in the town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.). On Nov. 17, 1929 he was united in marriage to Ann Fakes at a ceremony performed at Colby. For several years the family lived in the vicinity of Colby, later moving to Dorchester where he was employed as maintenance man at the cannery until 1944, at which time they moved to Hillsboro, assuming a similar position with a concern in that village.
Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Gustave Erdman of Colby; two sons, Verdayne and Marlyn of Milwaukee; and two daughters, Arlene of Mauston and Audrey of Milwaukee; three sisters, Elsie of Holcombe, Mrs. Art (Esther) Fakes, Curtiss, and Mrs. Eugene Johnson, and one brother, Oscar of Colby.
