Poppe, Clara (19 OCT 1880 - 3? JUL 1955)

At two o’clock yesterday afternoon funeral services for Mrs. Charles Poppe were held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.  The Rev. Clayton Nielsen, Withee, officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were George Poppe, Ed Poppe, Oscar Anderson, Leonard Kivviko, Frank Karye and John Ericksmoen.  In charge of the floral offerings were Mrs. Leonard Kivviko, Mrs. John Ericksmoen, Mrs. William Veurink and Mrs. Leonard Jensen.

The deceased was born on Oct. 19, 1880, in Minnesota.  On Dec. 1, 1900, she and Charles Poppe were married in a ceremony performed at Grand Rapids, Minn.  The couple moved to this community  that same year, settling on a farm in the town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), where they resided until 1952 when they retired and moved to the village of Withee.

Her passing is mourned by her husband and one brother, Gene Davidson, also of Withee.  Two brothers preceded her in death.
