Skelgas Building (1958)
New front - An attractive, modern front
has been built at the former Skelgas building at 529 Hewett Street,
as a part of a modernization and improvement program being carried
out there by the owner, Stuart A. Lathrop.
An incline to a recessed door at the south side replaces steps and center doorway. Mr. Lathrop also plans other interior remodeling in the store building and lowering of the ceilings in an upstairs apartment. The building has not been occupied for several months.
